My name is Nyasha. I'm a Microloc Extension Specialist based in Southfield, Michigan — and one of a small few locticians in the world practicing the interlocked premade microloc method. Not twisted on. Not braided in. Interlocked — the technique that truly lasts.

My name is Nyasha, and I am a natural hair artist, microloc extension specialist, and creative whose work lives at the intersection of beauty, healing, culture, and transformation.

Before Nurtured, my path moved through art, film, global community work, real estate, and storytelling. All of that lives in my hands now. Every install is designed with the eye of an artist, the patience of a craftsperson, and the care of someone who understands that a loc journey is never just about hair.

The interlocked premade method integrates each loc individually into your natural hair using an interlocking technique, creating a bond that is seamless, long-lasting, and grows with your hair naturally.
How long does the install take?
A full microloc extension install takes 2 or more days depending on your hair density, loc size, and desired length. This includes establishing your natural hair first, then adding the extensions. This is intentional — we never rush the process. Your result is worth every hour.
What does a full install cost?
Installs start at $2,800 and are fully customized based on your hair density, desired length, loc size, and color. Your consultation will include a personalized quote. Payment plans are available through Klarna, and a 50% deposit is required to reserve your dates. Virtual consultations are $75 · In-person consultations are $99 — both applied toward your install.
Do I need to be local to Detroit?
Not at all. Clients travel from across the country — New York, Florida, and beyond — for this service. Virtual consultations make it easy to plan everything before you arrive. We'll help make your trip as smooth as possible.
What hair type or length do I need?
We work with all natural hair textures. Ideally 3–4 inches of natural hair length is recommended to start extensions — though minimum requirements will be discussed during your consultation. I also specialize in supporting those healing from alopecia and hair loss, with custom handmade loc toppers and frontals available to create a seamless, beautiful result. The consultation is the best place to explore what's possible for you.
How do I maintain my locs after the install?
Maintenance is simple and low-fuss — exactly what microlocs are designed for. You'll receive full aftercare guidance and can book retie maintenance appointments as needed. Most clients come in every 8–10 weeks for a retie and wash service.
